If we know someones phone number and the carrier
they are using, we can send text or regular email to it, using
whatever email client we are using in our personal computer. Where
we normally enter the email address, we have to enter the phone
number and the phone carrier in the following format:
phone#@carrier
The data is normally sent in one of two possible service formats;
SMS (Short Messaging Service), or MMS (Multimedia Messaging
Service). SMS handles short simple text messages and MMS handles
large messages that can include images (photos), emoticons, text
in different color and size, internet links, etc. I believe that
all MMS messages are sent in HTML format (Hyper Text Markup
Language) by the mail client.
The "@carrier" portion of the email address is different for SMS
and MMS except for T-mobil carrier.
Here are the carrier dependent address formats:
T-Mobil
Verizon
AT&T
SMS @tmomail.net
@vtext.com @text.att.net
MMS @tmomail.net
@vzwpix.com @mms.att.net
Example using fictitious phone #:
7549991111@tmomail.net
UPDATE: June, 2026
I was informed, via email on 2025, that this was no longer
supported.
But that was a LIE from the dishonest network spies that monitor
our emails.
I tested it on June 2026, and it is still working.
Of course you must use a good mail client,
not a Windows client that might inhibit you from doing this.
Web mail clients might also inhibit this, because "they" want you
to use your smart phones for email and access to the internet. Big
brother does not want you to use a desktop computer running
a good operating system and a good email client. :)
