WHY ARE THEY NOT DETECTING CANCERS EARLIER ?
(Rev.

Cancers are usually easier to treat, or eliminate, if they are
detected in stage 1 or 2.
However, according to medical statistics, most cancers are
detected when they are in stage 3 or 4.
Why is this happening?
Well, I found out that most doctors, I have consulted with, do NOT
order what are sometimes called "liquid biopsies".
In fact, some doctors and oncologists, at the VA Health Care
System (VAHCS), were not aware of the following cancer tests:
URINE CANCER TESTS:
NMP22 protein in urine (High Levels = Bladder Cancer)
IMMUMOCYST -Looks for Mucin & CEA (CarcinoEmbryonic Antigen)
BTA -Bladder Tumor Antigen CFHrp
BLOOD PROTEIN TESTS FOR CANCER DETECTION:
CEA - CarcinoEmbryonic Antigen
AFP - Alpha-cetoprotein (Liver or Testicular cancer)
CA15-3 CA27-29 - Breast Cancer Diagnosis
And there are probably other similar tests. The ones above, are
the ones that I recently learned of their existence.
They (VA HCS) seem to prefer the more expensive, and invasive
procedures, known as "surgical biopsies".
It is more logical, and economical, to order the less
expensive and non-invasive "liquid biopsies",
prior to any surgical biopsies.
I contacted a laboratory in Broward County Florida to order
some of these tests.
However, the laboratory claimed that I needed a doctor's order
(prescription).
The only test that does not require a prescription is the PSA
(Prostate Specific Antigen).
However, a recent study done in the UK, involving data from
many thousand of prostate cancer patients, showed
statistically that although high PSA can indicate prostate cancer,
there were prostate cancer patients with PSA in the normal
range.
And they were surprised that there were a small number of
cancer patiens that had PSA bellow the normal range.
And the patients with low PSA, had the most aggressive prostate
cancers, and the highest mortality rate.
Is there a State or federal law that forces laboratories to
demand a doctor prescription for these tests? Why?
They are not expensive, in fact, they are a small fraction of the
cost of a surgical biopsy.
Could this be an agreement (Quid-Pro-Quo?) between laboratories
and the MIC (Medical Industrial Complex)
and/or with the AMA (American Medical Association)?
And people wonder why
health care is so expensive in the US.
NOTE:
I recently discovered a blood test that can detect more than 50
different types of cancer.
It is known as the Grail test (official registered name: Galleri
test).
If you want to learn more about these tests, that are used to
detect or monitor different types of cancer,
